Duties

Help
  • Serves as an Information Operations Planner within the J-39 Information Operations (IO) Directorate of the Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (Army) (JFHQ-C (A)).
  • The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and integrating IO with a full-range of cyberspace operations. Works under the supervision of the J39 IO Chief.
  • Serves as a principal action officer and project leader in the planning and development of JFHQ-C (A) IO requirements, organizational structure, and operational conduct to Service, Joint, and USCYBERCOM planning processes and operations.
  • Provides IO expertise support to JFHQ-C (A), USCENTCOM, USAFRICOM, USNORTHCOM, and USCYBERCOM relating to both near term and long-term planning efforts.
  • Provides IO expertise in the analysis of Service, Joint, and Component IO impacts and doctrinal issues in the development of planning guides and the other plans and orders in support of JFHQ-C (A)’s role to USCYBERCOM.
  • Analyzes operational plans and orders to ensure command essential elements of information are protected.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with access to SCI Security clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military External Affairs Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]

This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by

  1. Assisting with planning and developing Information Operations requirements to support crisis action planning.
  2. Communicates with operations working groups both orally and in writing to resolve technical problems.
  3. coordinating with other agencies within the area of responsibility to identify equipment, system, tools, and manpower requirements for operational and contingency plans.
