Enrollment must be with an accredited educational institution. This includes high schools, colleges or universities. Engineering Aide

This internship provides excellent professional experience for students who are seeking or pursuing Engineering degrees. As an intern in this role, you'll have an opportunity to leverage your CAD experience, and assist Engineers with basic drafting, surveying, and other relevant engineering tasks for buildings, facilities and grounds of the Capitol Hill Complex. The work also consists of administrative related tasks in support of engineering projects to include, research, drafting documents, as well as design and project management support.

To be eligible, you must be a current student who meets the following requirements:

Note: Participation in the Summer Intern Employment Program is limited to a total of three years. Candidates are eligible to participate no more than three years, collectively or consecutively, in the Summer Intern Employment Program. Candidates who have reached the three years in the program will be deemed ineligible to participate this calendar year.

Qualifications

All students MUST be U.S. Citizens or a person who is lawfully admitted for permanent residence and is seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)(B).

High school students must have experience with computer aided design (CAD) and/or geographic information systems (GIS). College students must have a major in engineering or architecture or other related fields such as civil engineering, architectural engineering, etc.
