Duties

Help
  • Assesses opportunities of leverage planned events of the Army Modernization Enterprise (AME) experimentation and analysis programs that explore relevant challenges, opportunities, issues and required decisions (COID).
  • Participates in and supports senior leaders’ decisions within key Army capability developments, resourcing, force structure, and acquisition processes.
  • Provides relevant capabilities gaps to support resourcing processes of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM), development and Strategic Portfolio Analysis Reviews, force structure processes of the Total Army Analysis (TAA).
  • Develops and monitors execution of discipline area relevant portions of the Army Modernization Guidance. Participates in the development and assessment of Force Package organizations within the TAA.
  • Perform analysis to support prioritization by assessing which problems, in the form of challenges, opportunities, issues and senior leader decisions (COID) require priority effort.
  • Conducts continuous synthesis that allows for an update of the running estimate of the Future Force Modernization Enterprise (FFME) progress in solving operationally related problems

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Determining program goals and developing internal policies, directives, and plans; 2. Performing as a Technical Advisor pertaining to planning, support, and execution; 3. Providing sound analytical advice in matters relating to operational and management issues; AND 4. Lead a team of employees to ensure continuity of assigned work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).


You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:


Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS 12).

  • This position is located at U.S. Army Futures Command, Futures Integration Directorate (FID), Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
