The Assistant Director of Physical Education and Athletics will:
Develop and conduct educational courses and programs.
Provide instruction and academic counseling to Midshipmen.
Assume a share of departmental and other academic responsibilities.
Teach classes in Physical Education.
Perform duties of Deputy Director of Athletics.
The ideal candidate must be highly motivated and experienced professional who works to support the Mission of the USMMA. They must be capable of adjusting to various work environments, physical demands, and schedules. They must be able to work well within the structure of the Physical Education & Athletics Staff and must be a positive contributor.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.
To qualify for the Grade 00, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
At least 5 academic years of teaching Physical Education, Physical Fitness, or similar related courses above the high school level or 5 sports seasons of full-time experience (or equivalent) as a coach, athletic trainer, or administrator (Athletic Director, Assistant AD, Communications, Finance, Facility Management, Development) at the college or university level. Your resume and application materials (including college transcripts) must show that you have the education and specialized experience necessary to teach Physical Education related courses above the high school level. You must also have:
At least 1 year of experience in game day operations and management.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience related to NCAA Compliance procedures and requirements.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience related to departmental finance policies and procedures.
