Duties

Help
  • Provide technical housing expertise and assistance to garrison Commander/Manager and other installation staff .
  • Evaluate management of the Rental Partnership Program and Utility Deposit Waiver Program.
  • Oversee adherence to the compliance of the RCI transaction documents and the Community Development Management Plan (CDMP).
  • Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), responsible for - management, oversight, guidance, fiscal policy, and control of contractor owned-government leased quarters.
  • This is a Temporary position intended to last 1 Year.
  • This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.

  • This position is an inclement weather essential position and the incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

Qualifications

Temporary Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment NTE 1 Year.

Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years.

Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

This position is obligated. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights based on active military service, compensable injury or disability when fully recovered, or return rights based on having served an overseas tour(s). Obligated positions may also cover employees who have been on extended leave without pay under certain circumstances. When a position is obligated to an employee it means that he/she has an entitlement to that position. During the obligation period, the position may be filled on a temporary or permanent basis. When an obligated position is filled, the selected employee is required to sign an agreement acknowledging that (s)he is aware of the obligation and accepts the fact that (s)he may be displaced under reduction in force procedures at a later time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Experience assisting with oversight of a military housing program; (2) Implementing programs and corrective measures for military housing management problems associated with large annual transition rates; and (3) Resolving complex housing program management issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
