Duties

Help
  • Install, configure, and operate all Department lab Information Technology OD equipment and associated software programs.
  • Oversee content, design, and management of the Department Web-based services and sites.
  • Work directly with Department staff and other content providers to design pages, organize content for publishing, and make changes to content.
  • Manage the Social Media Program, including posting photos, monitoring interactions, and creating interactions.
  • Distribute news stories, news clips, photos, jobs, solicitations and other pertinent topics to Facebook, and Twitter followers.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all maintenance and service issues to include contracting officer representative (COR) for maintenance service contracts.
  • Plan, organize, and execute conferences or other special activities held at the United States Military Academy for the Department.
  • Provide support to the faculty assigned to the department in all matters related to travel, transportation, and purchasing.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assisting in creating, curating, and/or managing published content for an organization; 2) assisting with writing, editing, and/or crafting content for an organization's social media sites; and 3) utilizing media software systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting in creating, curating, and/or managing published content for an organization; 2) assisting with writing, editing, and/or crafting content for an organization's social media sites; 3) utilizing media software systems; and, 4) determining administrative preparations and/or requirements for departmental conferences and/or special activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
