mowing grass and clipping hedges, shrubs and other plants using hand or self-propelled mowing and clipping equipment.
digging ditches, holes, and trenches using pick and shovel.
filling and tamping earth.
shoveling dirt and waste material into wheelbarrows or containers.
loading and unloading trucks and other conveyances.
removing snow and ice from steps, sidewalks, and building entrances using shovels, snow blowers, and power brooms.
applying de-icing materials by hand or with spreaders as directed for ice control.
performs other related work assignments as directed.
Work Schedule: 0700-1530 Monday-Friday Position Description Title/PD#: Laborer/PD02373A Physical Requirements: The work requires heavy lifting, moderate to strenuous physical effort and prolonged standing and walking. The work is performed inside and outside with exposure to extreme temperature, dirt and dust. The incumbent may be required to work irregular hours.
