Duties

Help
  • Serve as the Deputy Program Executive Officer and principle senior acquisition advisor to the Program Executive Officer, a career Tier I Senior Executive Service position.
  • Direct, develop, approve, and oversee Information Technology (IT) system acquisition strategies, goals, documentation, processes, and procedures to fulfill the requirements of the Program Management Offices based on current legislation and policies.
  • Exercise expert judgment in the management and control of several multi-billion dollar acquisition programs.
  • Oversee contracting activities and continually evaluates the effectiveness of utilization of resources across the portfolio.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year supervisory probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years, unless specifically granted a position waiver.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning tasks required for organizational projects; And developing strategic plans regarding Information Technology (IT) system acquisition; And evaluating the effectiveness of acquisition programs; And organizing personnel activities to meet organizational goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03)

**This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce position. The employee must meet the DODI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data filed in the header of the PD/PRD.
