Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of trades and craft duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities.
  • Assists in the maintenance and repair of the grounds; cuts grass, plants, trims hedges, trees and shrubbery.
  • The incumbent may be required to operate a ½ Ton up to 1 Ton motor vehicle to and from worksite to transport material and personnel.
  • Duties require the use of trade practices associated with carpentry, painting, and laboring work.
  • Assists in the maintenance and repair of building exteriors.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 (dated Aug 2019) is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3.
  • If the incumbent is required to operate a vehicle, the position is subject to mandatory drug testing.
  • The incumbent must have a valid driver's license, and keep current a valid driver’s license and installation and/or DoD requirement for the type of vehicle being operated.
  • Must meet the physical requirements for the position, and is therefore subject to a pre-employment physical.
  • May carry equipment, tools or supplies weighing from 40 to 80 pounds.

Qualifications

Experience in performing duties as described and the ability to follow oral and written instructions involving those duties. If the position requires the incumbent to operate a vehicle. The incumbent must have a valid driver's license.
