Duties

Help
  • Serves as the 470th Military Intelligence Brigade Resource Manager.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing all financial and resource management programs and services essential to the direction and operation of this organization.
  • Exercises Staff oversight of all Resource Management activities for an echelon above corps, force projection, and a Military Intelligence Brigade.
  • Provides advice and general direction to functional personnel in terms of discussion and interpretation of broad goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for continuously monitoring the administration and operations of the Brigade, through the internal management controls program, to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Effectively manages the Brigade's civilian pay budget through accurate projections of on-boards and anticipated new hires.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required 25% or less of the time to both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Assisting in the formulation, planning, budgeting, execution of comprehensive financial programs; demonstrated proficiency of fiscal resource management systems, laws, regulations, and methodologies to ensure appropriate funds distributed support of a myriad of intelligence missions, operations, and training programs; providing assistance and technical guidance to Resource Management Office personnel for the accomplishment of goals and objectives; and, interpreting program management regulations and determining requirements all programs assigned. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
