Summary

This position is located onsite within the Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center (SPARC), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area in College Station, Texas.

  • Obtains, compiles, and summarizes financial data from various paper and system-based sources to assist in funds control services.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education as defined below.

PATHWAYS PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment from a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. Applicants must be seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) and be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or equivalent) throughout the duration of their program. Please see "Required Documents." The duties of the position must be related to either the student's academic or career goals that are related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.

GS-02:
Education: Completion of High School diploma and or equivalent.

Applicants will be assessed/evaluated through application of the agency developed qualification standard for internship positions, which is based solely on level of education.

Education

You must submit a copy of your college transcripts. An unofficial copy is sufficient with the application if it includes your name and the necessary course information; however, if you are selected, you will be required to submit official transcripts prior to entering on duty.

Additional information

Student Interns must continue to meet the Pathways Program requirements throughout the duration of the appointment. Incumbents will be required to provide proof of continued enrollment and good standing good standing 2.00 GPAeach semester or grading period throughout the internship program. Failure to do so will result in termination of the appointment.

Upon completion of all program requirements, Pathways Interns may be converted to a term, career-conditional or career appointment within 120 days following successful completion of all their education; however, conversion is not guaranteed. The full performance level (FPL) of the position to which converted may be up to the GS-06 level.

This position may be eligible to telework up to four days per week, based upon the duties of the position. This position may also be eligible for flexible work arrangements as determined by agency policy and any applicable collective bargaining agreements.
