The employee is required to maintain current certification to perform various types of welding work. Welding proficiency is verified by destructive and non-destructive testing of welds.
This position my be job sited. The employee may be required to report for work at a location other than a permanently assigned location.
Incumbent may require immunizations as recommended by health and industrial hygiene officials.
Employee may also be required to operate license mobile cranes and motor vehicles requiring licensing for up 2 ton vehicles.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Welder without more than normal supervision performing the following types of duties: 1) Perform a variety of complete welding assignments using manual, electric arc/inert gas shielded, gas torch or similar welding process to repair modify, or fabricate all types of metal and alloy parts, equipment or components; 2) Use blueprints, sketches, work orders, specifications, or other guides to plan, layout, and complete welding assignments; 3) Welding metal parts and structures that vary in size, shape and thickness; 4) Making welds to achieve complete penetration and/or fusion of dissimilar metals.
