This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Serves as Deputy Chief of Real Estate Division, is fully responsible for planning, organizing, developing and coordinating all military and civil real estate programs. Administers the functions of Acquisition Branch, Management and Disposal Branch, and Technical Services Branch.

Help
  • Serves as a full deputy and alter ego to the Chief, Real Estate Division and fully shares with the manger the direction of all phases of the organization’s programs and work.
  • Dual hat position serving as the direct line supervisor over the Technical Branch.
  • Responsible for all civil works real estate within the boundaries of the Savannah, Charleston, and Wilmington Districts.
  • This includes not only work performance but close coordination and briefing of the District Engineers and their division chiefs on pertinent real estate matters that affect their respective districts.
  • Responsible for all military real estate within the Savannah District which includes the States of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualifiy at the GS-14 grade level you must have:
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience with coordination of real property activities with Federal, state, local agencies/governments; Experience with the development and implementation of quality assurance techniques for real property actions to ensure compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, delegations and regulations; Overseeing timelines and scheduled real property actions; Detailed knowledge of principles and procedures for conducting real estate transaction in accordance with AR-405-80, Management of Title and Granting Use of Real Property and AR 405-90, Disposal.
