  • You will serve as a GENERAL INSPECTION SPECIALIST in the COMMAND EVALUAION OFFICE (CODE 100E), EXECUTIVE DEPT (CODE 100), TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, KINGS BAY (TRF-KB), GA
  • You will perform investigations, reviews, studies, analyses, of the command's operations that provide an independent, in-house means of detecting inefficiencies and improprieties.
  • You will ensure internal efforts align operational requirements, including compliance with established policy, personnel management, budget oversight, program planning and execution, resource allocation, budget preparation and execution of funds.
  • You will direct and provide a full range of technical and administrative guidance.
  • You will analyze information obtained through investigations, assessments and inspections to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:

  • Experience performing investigations, reviews, studies, analyses, of the command's operations that provide an independent, in-house means of detecting inefficiencies and improprieties.
  • Experience reviewing and providing advice on command policies and procedures, paying particular attention to evidence of valid audit trails, separation of duties and other internal controls.
  • Experience ensuring internal efforts align operational requirements, including compliance with established policy, personnel management, budget oversight, program planning and execution of funds.
  • Experience inspecting, investigating or inquiring into reported matters of fraud, waste, abuse, and related improprieties.
Provides assistance to auditors of the Naval Audit Service, General Accounting Office, Navy Inspector General, and/or other external audit agencies to perform continuous, periodic or special audits.
Articulates findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner (orally and in writing) in the form of briefings to provide managers and supervisors with a useful tool for defining and managing programs.
