Duties

Help

The incumbent of this position will serve as the EAC's primary administration official, with supervisory responsibility and oversight for the program areas of space and facilities management, and travel management, micro-purchases, support services, emergency preparedness, health and safety, events management, and miscellaneous administrative programs and services. The incumbent has responsibility for the day-to-day management and supervision of workflow and business processes to ensure operational tasks are completed properly, timely, and per customer service standards. The incumbent serves as a member of the management team and participates in the decision-making process and is accountable for solving EAC administrative management issues. The job is expected to perform occasional work-related travel.

The supervisory AO position is located within EAC's Office of Chief Financial Officer, Administration Team, and the incumbent is responsible for providing first-line supervision and leadership for assigned subordinates.

The position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

  • The Supervisory Admin Officer is expected to be in the office 4-5 days p/week.
Additional Requirement:
To qualify for this position, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service or comparable experience gained outside of Federal Service.

You must demonstrate the ability to perform at the GS-13 level.

Familiarity with Federal regulations. Ensure that the work and contractor oversight comply with federal laws, regulations, and agency-specific policies (e.g., safety regulations, environmental standards), and contract management processes.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Expert knowledge of Federal administration practices relative to Agency operations.
  • Expert knowledge of Federal travel regulations as required to facilitate the travel process.
  • Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methodology to gather data and make in-depth evaluation and analyses of situations, issues, and programs; possess skills to recommend solutions that are unique and outside the scope of current practices and guidelines as needed.
  • Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of various software packages (e.g., Microsoft Windows, SharePoint, Calendar, Microsoft Word, Access database management, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel) to create and revise a wide range of documents, automated records, databases, and slides.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Federal service work experience.
