Duties

Help
  • You will plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work orders.
  • You will examine and troubleshoot general industrial plant machinery, equipment, and systems to determine area (s) of difficulty.
  • You will disassemble and repair general industrial plant machinery, equipment, and systems, e.g., towveyor and conveyor systems, bridge cranes, air compressors, engine and hydromatic dynamometers, aircraft test blocks.
  • You will conduct periodic preventive and recurring inspections, e.g. lubrication in accordance with manufacturers instructions, and checking voltage and amperage changes in electrical equipment.
  • You will set up and operate all types of machine tools, such as small lathes, milling machines, drill presses, precision grinders, and other portable machines tools to perform onsite milling, grinding, boring, facing, and drilling.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
