This vacancy is open to status candidates, Veterans Recruitment Authority (VRA), VEOA, 30% Disabled, Schedule A, Military Spouses (5 CFR 315.612), Career Transition (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL), National Service (Peace Corps), and current, permanent VBA, Internal employees holding this grade GS-07 or higher and seeking non-competitive reassignment holding this grade or higher and seeking non-competitive reassignment. Employee will need to live within 50 miles of the Salt Lake City, Regional Office.
Within this structure, the incumbent performs the following duties:
Prepares Systematic Analyses of Operations (SAO) annual schedules, and monitors program to ensure timely reporting to upper management officials.
Maintains division and administrative files, is responsible for disseminating directive and other publications to all appropriate division personnel.
Complete multiple assignments simultaneously with strict or sometimes competing deadlines.
Receives, distributes, files and maintains office library of circulars, manuals, directives and other publications.
Prepares division reports. Responsible for gathering and assembling all required data, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Performs administrative tasks, ordering equipment and supplies, prepare requests for personnel actions and maintaining files. Schedules appointments, coordinates meetings, schedules conferences, researches and provides background on subject matter of meetings.
Use Microsoft Outlook to maintain multiple e-mail boxes, compose e-mail and respond to e-mail inquiry. Calendars, hearings and provides support to hearing officer.
Maintains the division manager and assistant manager calendars; arranges conferences; prepares minutes for meetings; coordinates issues surrounding employee travel in the division, to include making reservations, obtaining airline tickets and preparation of travel vouchers.
Maintains and accurate record of division travel expenditures and quarterly travel budget.
Respond to verbal inquiries and requests for information via telephone or in person.
Accurately and timely enters employees' leave information into the payroll program (VATAS) and validates timecards for supervisory approval.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
GS-7 Level: One (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Program Support Assistant, GS-7 position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-6 level in the Federal service to qualify at the Grade-7. Examples of specialized experience include (but are not limited to):
Thorough knowledge general office operations to receive, process and answer questions and requests from; employees, supervisors, director's staff regarding timecards, general operations, availability of staff, and general suspenses;
Knowledge in dealing with division level operations, regulations and principles and collecting information, taking recommended actions based on interpretation of established VA guidelines;
Skill in time management, multitasking and organization; knowledge of software applications such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
NOTE: Evidence of specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held. Please provide such documentation on resume.

Physical Requirements: The work normally involves mental rather than physical exertion. The work is mostly sedentary; however, there may be some walking, standing, and carrying of light items.
