Duties

Help

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • GPC holders will complete and maintain DD Form 577 on file.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Work may require extended periods of walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, and climbing of ladders while inspecting buildings, equipment and grounds.
  • The work is performed both in and outdoors. Incumbent is exposed to temperature extremes, dust, dirt, poor ventilation and dampness when inspecting grounds.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials (i.e. lead based paint), inclement weather is incidental. Incumbent must observe all occupational safety requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying housing management procedures and practices to resolve complex unaccompanied and/or family housing related problems and issues (i.e. resident concerns, complaints);
2) Analyzing housing operations and maintenance expenditures to determine future program requirements;
3) Using federal, state and/or local laws governing the use and operation of housing facilities to develop plans and directives for housing administration; and
4) Applying Performance Assessment Representative (PAR) procedures, technical knowledge of contract functions and/or detailed knowledge of contract specifications to perform PAR inspections.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

This announcement uses the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD/Modified Direct Hire Authority direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Several vacancies may be filled.

Tour of duty will be 24 months.
