Maintain an understanding of TACOM key metrics and data sources of record.
Analyze a variety of data sources to provide data-driven insights to the organizations to streamline processes.
Use tools, emerging technology, and various data sources to perform exploratory analyses on new and archival data sources.
Recommend strategic adaptations to incorporate the needs of customers and suppliers to TACOM’s mission, such as Program Executive Officers (PEOs), Engineering, and Contracting, to ensure upstream and downstream effects are considered.
Advise senior leaders and staff on the proper tools and formats for analyzing data for mission management.
Analyze and evaluate (on a quantitative and/or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of organizational operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
Advise on the potential benefits/uses of automation to improve the efficiency of program operations.
Utilize tools such as Excel, Qlik, Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), Standard Query Language (SQL), Tableau, R, Python, Oracle, and other data analytics tools as necessary to perform the mission.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a field directly related to this position.
OR
B. Combination of education and experience. Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or experience related to the duties of this position.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must described at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-12) which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as utilizing automated tools to ensure data is adequate, accurate, or appropriate for use; conducting data analysis to improve the effectiveness of the organization's operations or procedures; and developing data visualizations or interactive reports to provide meaningful insight from data.
