Help
  • You will serve as PHYSICAL THERAPIST in the STRIKE PROGRAM, EDO GROUP TWO, Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia.
  • You will serve as the STRIKE Sports Medicine expert and clinical provider
  • You will provide evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members
  • You will design treatment plans to meet patient/clinical objectives to maximize restoration of physical and functional capabilities
  • You will utilize physical performance measures to provide objective data and outcomes with activity/task performance

  • Applicants must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
  • Occasional travel is required to include the OCONUS EODGRU ONE and TWO units at least once per year. Duration of travel will usually be seven to fourteen (7-14) days per trip.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A graduate or higher level degree that included:

Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy(external link) (FSBPT).

NOTE: Applicants who have completed an approved graduate level curriculum and who subsequently completed additional graduate training in a specialized field of clinical practice designed to assure professional competence to practice in the specialty meet the requirements for GS-11. EXPERIENCE:
In addition to the Basic Requirements stated above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
  • Experience performing a wide range of complex physical therapy duties requiring a mastery level practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine, and data collection.
  • Experience developing and implementing complex, goal-oriented treatment plans for patients presenting with a multiplicity of dysfunction and impairments in physical, functional and adaptive areas.
  • Experience applying new and developing methodologies as solutions to complex multifactorial problems resistant to traditional rehabilitation approaches.
  • Experience designing treatment plans to meet patient/clinical objectives to maximize restoration of physical and functional capabilities.
  • Experience developing and updating performance standards.
