Duties

Help
  • Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
  • Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures, and research different databases and publications to extract data.
  • Research problems surfaced by customers; resolve issues or routes to appropriate analyst with information setting forth research findings.
  • Compile information needed to determine capability and reliability of supply sources to comply with customer expectations.
  • Prepare reports reflecting findings and corrective actions, to include information relating to loss, damage, or destruction of property.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be cleared IAW requirements of AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA/E).
  • Subject to random drug testing IAW AR 600-85 Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP).
  • Subject to the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience Requirement:

GS-06

One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing research to resolve common supply related issues such as supply discrepancies; utilizing automated supply systems to run reports, prepare recurring reports, and/or prepare other supply documents.

GS-07

One year of specialized experience which includes providing supply support to production, shipping, or receiving operations by ensuring compliance with supply regulations, policies and procedures. 2) Performing research to resolve receipt transaction errors and failures; 3) Using automated supply systems to enter, correct, and/or retrieve recurring reports and preparing other supply documents.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • Position may be filled at the GS-06 or GS-07 level.
