Duties

Help
  • Responsible base operations support including facilities, grounds maintenance, air conditioning, warehouse services, equipment maintenance/repair, power generation, environmental/safety compliance, disaster preparedness and transportation support.
  • Develops input for the Program Operating Memorandum (POM) and is responsible for developing and executing the J4 annual spend plan.
  • Organizes and directs the execution of numerous comprehensive and diverse logistics programs.
  • Principal advisor to the Director for Logistics, Command Group, and other management officials on all aspects of Headquarters Support services and facilities management.
  • Responsible for all phases of the command's supply management, property accountability, and procurement.
  • Makes managerial/executive decisions without prior clearance from the Director.
  • Assist command leadership and Crisis Action Team with all aspects of hurricane planning, preparation, sheltering, evacuation, and recovery efforts.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • A non-disclosure agreement must be signed prior to appointment.
  • May require Temporary Duty (TDY)travel up to 10% of the time.
  • During emergency situations will be required to perform "Mission Essential" duties as described in the Joint Interagency Task Force (JIATF) South Continuity of Operations Plan.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience to the next lower grade (GS/GG-12) which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as 1. Experience with program planning, funding, and management information systems, and functions of activities involved in logistical support activities. AND
2. Experience integrating separate logistics support functions in planning a total logistics management program. AND
3. Experience applying regulations and procedures related to acquisition, procurement, and contract administration.
