Work with the International Affairs program to provide instruction to cadets in comparative politics, international political economy, international relations, and/or Chinese politics.
You will conduct research in own area of expertise.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Appointment to this position may be subject to a one-year trial period.
This is a part-time position. The incumbent will work 20 hours per week with maximum of 40 hours per pay period depending on mission requirements.
The salary listed reflects a full-time work schedule. Salary will be prorated based on actual hours worked.

This is a part-time term appointment in the excepted service not to exceed 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond the initial term. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, OR (b) possess a combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Applicants will be evaluated on the following: 1) Academic Accomplishment (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) in Political Science, Public Policy or a related field. 2) Ability to conduct social science research. 3) Demonstrated ability to teach Political Science, International Affairs, Comparative Politics, and International Political Economy.
