Duties

Help
  • Serves as cashier in the snack bar. Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items.
  • Assures that tables and work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas.
  • Receives payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. May work on a mobile eating cart to deliver food and drink to patrons.
  • Orders fast-food items, condiments and other necessary supplies. Receives delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery.
  • Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited o preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Must meet local age requirement (18 years of age) at the time of appointment in order to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of four (4) hours of initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment. A minimum of four (4) hours refresher training annually.
  • Light to heavy physical effort is required. Frequently lifts and moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to:
1. Must meet local age requirements at the time of appointment to serve alcoholic beverages.
2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision.
3. Ability to keep things clean and in order.
4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques.
5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles.
7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
8. Able to lift and move objects up to forty (40) pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach.

FWS Allowances and Differentials
