About the Position: This is a Supervisory Realty Specialist position with the USACE Omaha District Real Estate Division. Responsible for administering an extensive real estate program involving numerous large areas of land and highly valued and/or improved properties for civil works, military,and special projects.

Help
  • As a Supervisory Real estate Specialist, you will;
  • Resolves all open data anomalies in Management and Disposal (MD) in conjunction with Real Property Accountable Officer to ensure MD mission is fully executed including compliance inspections.
  • Responsible for the planning and acquisition of Real Estate by lease, direct purchase, condemnation, transfer, exchange or donation and maneuver permits; handling of claims; resettlement of activities; cession of jurisdiction; and local cooperation.
  • Conduct negotiations on complex and controversial problems involving all activities of the Real Estate Division.
  • Issue, manage, and administer outgrants (leases, licenses, easements,and permits) authorizing the use of real property and permitting both short and long term use of property.
  • Administer continuing inspection efforts to mitigate problems of encroachment and resolve identified encroachments through intense negotiations with opposing parties.
  • Schedule resources to be applied in terms of inhouse and contract manpower, funds, and time sequences. Review proposed contractual actions to assure compliance with approved project objectives and higher authority directives.
  • Supervises all Section Chiefs and support staff as identified within the Branches and assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes; 1) Coordinating cost estimates for budget requirements; 2) Managing financial resources for a real estate project utilizing an automated financial management system; and 3) Developing schedules for real estate projects by assigning personnel This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
