About the Position: Serves as a project manager responsible for managing the coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, design, construction, and direction of assigned Corps of Engineers Civil Works, Military, Environmental, and/or Interagency Support (IAS) projects.

Duties

Help
  • Responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned programs and projects.
  • Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the program.
  • Coordinate the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental considerations, etc., for projects of normal scope and complexity.
  • Control and manage project milestones and budgets from initial studies through design, construction, and initial operations.
  • Represent the District Commander and serve as the district's primary point of contact for projects with Federal, state and local government agencies, Congressional interests, other external organizations and higher authorities.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes working with Project Management Processes and Policies; involvement in projects with DoD OR other non-DoD Federal agencies to include Military Construction, Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
