Duties

Help
  • Develops plans and objectives for assigned systems/programs.
  • Identifies existing or potential problem areas and recommends or directs necessary corrective action of preventive measures.
  • Renders assistance to the PEO/PM and higher-level staff pertaining to assigned programs.
  • Has responsibility for statutory and regulatory reporting.
  • Tasks participating and supporting organizations with program and budget planning and reporting actions.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (K) Business - Financial Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires FM CERTIFICATION LEVEL 2 (FMC02). Selectees must obtain Level 2 certification in the Department of Defense Financial Management program within 24 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. ***Experience Required***

General Experience: Your resume describes three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to at least the NH-01 grade level, which includes: 1) Analyzing information and data to provide recommendations; 2) Performing basic functions to assist with the budget process to justify and monitor programs; 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing.

The definition of experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-01 (or GS-04 equivalent).

OR

Education: Completed a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. (Note: You must attach a copy of your bachelor's transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: Have the general experience as described in A, but less than three years; and I have some education as described in B, but less than the required four years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your bachelor's transcripts.)

  • The referral list(s) generated from this announcement may be used to fill multiple vacancies throughout PEO GCS and PEO CS&CSS at locations both in Warren, MI and Selfridge ANG Base.
  • This position may be eligible for regular, and recurring TELEWORK, including emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled Telework. Supervisor approval will be required on a case-by-case basis.
  • This is an Acquisition Demo Modified Term Appointment NTE 5 years. Position may be extended an additional 1 year with approval. Employees hired under the modified term appointment may be eligible for conversion to career-conditional appointments or career appointments without further competition.
    • To be converted, the employee must meet all of the following: a) Have been selected for the term position under competitive procedures, with the announcement specifically stating that the individual(s) selected for the term positions(s) may be eligible for conversion to career-conditional or career appointments at a later date; and; b) Have served two years of continuous service in the term positions; and (c) Have been considered to have adequate contributions and a fully successful performance rating for two assessment cycles (including the current assessment cycle) immediately preceding conversion.
    • Service under a modified term appointment immediately prior to permanent appointment shall count toward the probationary period requirements described in 10 USC Section 1599e
