Duties

Help
  • Provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.
  • Performs routine and non-routine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
  • Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy.
  • Items are less stable or standardized and do not lend themselves to routine control through the use of the computer and variable supply level formulas.
  • Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs.
  • Authorizes procurement and is responsible for funds management.
  • Responsible for limited aspects of storage management.
  • May develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
  • Advanced in hire rate may be granted to set pay above the minimum rate of the grade for a new employee if he/she possesses superior qualifications relevant to the positions' requirements and is essential to accomplish the agency's mission.
  • Creditable Service for Annual Leave accrual may be granted to new employees if he/she possesses superior qualifications essential to the position; and which were acquired through performance in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position.
  • The duties performed in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position must directly relate to the position to which appointed and such qualifications are necessary to achieve an important agency mission or performance goal to be eligible.
  • Employment can be terminated with a 30 day notice.
  • In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the indefinite appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status.
  • United States Citizenship is required.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Appointments of retired members of the Armed Forces as National Guard employees within 180 days of retirement requires a waiver approved by the Adjutant General of Missouri before an effective date can be established.

Qualifications

GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 1 year of specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

Education

This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
