Duties

Help

Provides administrative oversight to the status of project concept, design, progress, and execution. Generates proper documentation required for these tasks leading up to approval and decision making. Manages and coordinates the execution of the plans, scope, design, construction, budgeting and direction of these projects. Implements command decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policy in the development of project plans. Serves as project manager for renovation projects and multiple minor constructions where project management support is needed. Integrates all project functions such as design, cost and construction. Assigns responsibilities and sets schedules and milestones. POC for all FSS minor construction projects. Reviews project progress, measures performance and effects necessary corrective action to maintain schedules and costs. Assures early identification of customer problems or issues and facilitates the resolution of identified problems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Possess knowledge of organization, mission, policies, governing project development and execution. Work experience managing minor construction, renovation projects, work orders, working with contractor, and finance is desired. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Must possess ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Well-developed computer, organizational, time management and prioritization abilities are preferred. Use of computer programs and technology platforms/systems to perform tasks required. Construction and renovation knowledge desired.

Conditions of Employment:
Works in a standard office environment. Visits to construction sites involve exposure to various weather conditions, noise and debris. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
