Help

As a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Develops intelligence requirements based on program knowledge and interaction with customers and then works with stakeholders across the missile defense community of interest to prioritize and document those requirements.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in obtaining all-source intelligence products and services, participates in interagency working groups, and interfaces regularly with the IC to advocate for MDA prioritized requirements.
  • Possesses broad knowledge of the characteristics and capabilities of complex weapons systems of foreign countries/states including countermeasures, targeting, proliferation, and international political and military environments.
  • Publishes IC-sourced intelligence products for MDA customers and delivers briefings to audiences at the General Officer or SES level.
  • Supports developmental requirements related to missile technical collection to include obtaining data on foreign missile events and coordinating collection to support MDA and other US weapon systems tests.
  • Manages Intelligence Requirements Division government and contractor personnel who ensure horizontal integration of Intelligence Community (IC)-validated intelligence across the acquisition lifecycle and engineering "V" for MDS programs and functions.
  • Ensures adequate staffing and resources for mission success by: developing staff; establishing objectives, monitoring performance and providing feedback, and; adjusting performance expectations to reflect mission changes.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GG-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level meeting 3 of the 4 following statements, in the Federal service as listed below:

  • Experience managing an integrated, multi-disciplinary Intelligence Requirements activity for a large acquisition program and providing direct support to senior leadership, Program Executives, and Program Managers throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Experience researching, organizing, and analyzing large quantities of diverse data to support customer intelligence requirements and recommend courses of action
  • Experience in identifying the characteristics of complex weapons systems of foreign countries/states
  • Experience with intelligence collection, analysis, production, presentation processes acquired through formal training and extensive on-the-job experience

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
