Duties

Help
  • Serves as a senior Exploitation Analyst (EA) and subject matter expert for the 780th MI BDE, 782d MI BN, Cyber.
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating technical (network and infrastructure) analysis in support of national and theater Offensive Cyber Operation requirements.
  • Oversees intelligence support to planning activities to include threat research and analysis, all-source fusion, threat documentation, defining intelligence requirements, collection management facilitation, and interagency collaboration.
  • Prepares reviews, evaluates and publishes technical products, time sensitive reports, and event reports.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Stress is inherent in the nature of work. The many short-suspense actions and pressures of time from nearly all contacts contribute to heightened demands.
  • Under crisis operations, may be subject to short notice expanded hours and possible recall situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Overtime/shift work may be required.
  • This position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Army’s mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide.
  • This position is designated Mission Essential and the incumbent must be able to remain on duty or make every effort to report to duty on-time during emergency and/or crisis situations.
  • Must achieve certification in the Exploitation Analyst work role within 24 months of employment.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-12 grade level, or equivalent, which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Utilizing expertise of digital network intelligence and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)/Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) to identify, assess, report, and brief on foreign computer network capabilities, vulnerabilities, and personalities; performing analysis in support of SIGINT/Cyber Network Operations and Cyber Warfare plans, strategies and operations for the control and application of cyber capabilities; and, evaluating incoming intelligence and determines pertinent data that should be directed to higher levels of management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
