As the Director of the Division of Resource Management and Administration (DRMA), you will plan, evaluate, and manage a variety of corporate and mission support services and activities in four major areas: human resources (HR) planning and management, administrative services management, financial management, and information technology/management (IT/M). Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Executive oversight in the delivery of corporate and mission support services and activities to assure mission success.
  • Administering long range planning for corporate and mission support services and activities.
  • Initiating and coordinating the development of policies, plans and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Division’s administrative and management areas.
  • Communicating with senior management, other NRC offices (e.g. OGC, OCHCO, OCIO, ADM, etc.), and outside organizations to coordinate and represent the Region in matters involving HR, IT/M, administrative services, and financial management.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to direct, lead, manage and develop a diverse staff in support of mission-critical programs with competing deadlines and conflicting resource demands.

Demonstrated ability to plan, evaluate and manage a variety of corporate and mission support services and activities in four major categories: financial management, information management, human resource planning and management and administrative services management.

Demonstrated ability to quickly and independently evaluate and review programs, policy, and strategy issues, and conceive of and advocate solutions.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with peers, co-workers, administrative teams, and various levels of management both inside and outside the agency.

In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:  Leadership of NRC working groups or projects in HR, IT/M, administrative services, and/or financial management. Prior experience developing and managing Federal budgets, programs, schedules, and staff workloads. Prior experience successfully managing and coordinating competing priorities, problem solving skills, and conflict management skills. Experience working and effectively communicating with a variety of stakeholders, managers and team members.

Additional information

The duty location of this position is Naperville, Illinois. In general, employees are expected to be in the office at a minimum of 4 days per pay period.  Telework schedules, including full-time telework, are approved, on a case-by-case basis. If selected, telework will be determined in accordance with Agency policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement, if applicable.
