Duties

Help

Performs routine logistical duties and responsibilities independently and/or in conjunction with management's assistant to include administering expendable and non-expendable supply, fuel, and equipment items apply life cycle practices to include acquisition; receiving, inspection, accounting for the identification; use and control; and disposition. Plans, schedules and completes announced and unannounced physical inventories and prepares associated reports and other administrative records and data. Accomplishes central warehousing duties to include maintaining facility, supplies, equipment and inventory stocks in an organized and efficient manner apply standard warehousing practices to include performing housekeeping, preventive maintenance, stock rotation, storage space re-configuration, and ordering, receiving, and delivery functions. Also includes operation of both automated and manual inventory management and control systems, and application of standard physical inventory control practices. Assists with projecting budgets for overhead expenses. Performs duties as the detachment safety representative assisting with establishing and maintaining a HAZCOM/safety program. Operates 4-to-10 ton trucks and 6K forklift. Serves as the Vehicle Control Officer to ensure compliance with program requirements. Receives work from production clerk and tasks small engine mechanics to perform assigned work. Provides work tasks to vehicle operators accordingly. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Applicants must have experience in logistics and maintenance work. Experience in applying rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements. Experience must demonstrate the ability to resolve routine problems. Knowledge of government supply program requirements is highly desirable.
Must have basic computer skills to include using Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs with satisfactory competency. Must be capable of performing physically demanding duties to include lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to effectively and efficiently communicate both orally and in writing in the English language. Ability to speak conversational Japanese to communicate with employees is highly desirable. Condition(s) of Employment: Must be able to obtain necessary licenses and training to operate special purpose equipment and vehicles within 60 days of employment.
