This position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Monitor and modernize network IT infrastructure, business practices, systems and software for the organization.
Responsible for customer relationship management, network technical support, telecommunication Support, and training support for the command.
Oversee network system administration efforts of the organization. (i.e. planning, installation, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network communications, etc.).
Oversee technical infrastructure, data storage architecture, data protection, capacity/performance management, and network systems integration of the organization.
Supervise and direct subordinates within the directorate.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position has been designated as non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R, and requires you to possess, or obtain, and maintain for the duration of employment, a Secret security clearance.
This position requires you to obtain and retain an IT Tier 1 Security investigation.
This position requires you to satisfactorily complete appropriate training and obtain required certification/recertification per assignment to the Cyber Workforce.

Specialized Experience Required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, which includes: Implementing modifications to the telecommunications and network architecture through the use of computer hardware and software; Monitoring Information Technology (IT) systems data/device status to determine type/location of malfunctions; Providing leadership with ways to optimize, and improve the network; Restoring disrupted/degraded IT circuits over available facilities by wiring/component changes and/or system software modifications; Executing testing/implementation plans using IAW established test criteria to take corrective action; Overseeing the management and supervision of a medium size network and staff. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: solving complex or sensitive problems by developing and proposing strategic alternatives; identifying possible conflicts and shared benefits; helping team anticipate problems and identifying and evaluating potential sources of information; providing feedback and coaching to others to help solve problems; engaging appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs; evaluating the effectiveness of decisions and adjusting future decisions as appropriate.
