As a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), GS-1152-11 you may be expected to accomplish the following:

  • Plan and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution.
  • Represent the Maintenance Operations branch, participating in discussions, meetings, and/or serving on panels or committees concerning maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Direct aircraft maintenance analysis activities for the Maintenance Group.
  • Evaluate leads and controls the Group and subordinate unit training program to ensure combat readiness for unit members and tracks progress via automated training records system and other tools.
  • Lead aircraft maintenance support for operational, exercise, or contingency operations.
  • Provide oversight to the budget process, including planning, programming, budgeting, allocation, and funds execution.
  • Develop, interpret, and provide program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel. Interprets command aircraft assignment configuration and reporting policy and informs appropriate Wing personnel of requirements and provides sufficient follow-up to ensure compliance.

Area of consideration:

CAT 2: All permanent, indefinite on-board, Title 32 within the Air National Guard (Nation-wide, Palace Chase Active Duty will also be considered).

Must have 2RX7X AFSC or be eligible to obtain within 1 year of start date.

Qualifications

General Experience:
Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.

Specialized Experience:
Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training in the following:

  • Computations of cost data on labor and materials, buying materials or reviewing data with respect to man-hours, machine time, materials consumed, etc.
  • Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
  • Experience in supervising subordinate personnel, establishing work priorities, overseeing work in progress.
