Duties

Help

As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Serve as an analyst and subject matter expert leading efforts to deliver customer-centered IT solutions to improve customer service and streamline and automate business processes across the agency.
  • Assist in collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, and the development team, gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements in support of key agency initiatives.
  • Create user stories, use cases, or feature descriptions, with a focus on delivering value incrementally.
  • Define the vision and roadmap that aligns with RRB's modernization objectives such as customer service improvement, streamlining business processes, move to the cloud, and implementation of the cutting-edge technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and promote the Agile development methodology for all applicable modernization initiatives at RRB.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for GS-13 level:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates experience that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, such as:
  • Applying Agile principles in order to analyze and evaluate business methods, problems, and facts and elevate for Product Owner or stakeholder review.
  • Assisting with the development of project plans and business cases.
  • Translating business needs into technical requirements and assisting stakeholders to understand the technical intricacy of the solution(s) being proposed.
  • Developing, presenting and recommending solutions that resolve issues or meet business needs.
