Duties

Help

1. Supports the Air and Ground COMSEC Branch as a representative and spokesperson on inventory management, and on repair and return issues
2. Performs work associated with management of items. Plans and determines current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs for items of high monetary value and high criticality to readiness.
3. Determines current and future supply requirements, considering variables such as, cost, existing policies and procedures, data processing requirements, and other issues
4. Analyzes and monitors planned or scheduled materiel requirement for forecasts and funds availability.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Experience in specialized inventory management methods and techniques to resolve difficult inventory management issues and problems; Experience in a broad range of supply program relationships and interrelated processes; comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and funding processes related to inventory management functions. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of applicable customer service standards; knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods of assigned specializations and functions.
2. Knowledge of structure, contents, codes, internal and external interfaces, update procedures and uses of automated supply systems and databases; knowledge of sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance or advice to resolve supply problems.
3. Knowledge of policies, methods, and procedures for type classification of material/approval for service use; knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing equipment and supplies.
4. Ability to analyze problems and to develop timely and economical solutions; to plan and organize work; to maintain good working relations; to originate new ideas, projects, studies, and methodologies.
5. Ability to review, analyzes, and evaluates supply management programs; to communicate in writing and orally; ability to interpret specialized documentation and descriptions pertaining to equipment.
6. Ability to stratify resources against approved programs; to plan, present, and execute budgets; to analyze budget impacts on programs; and to forecast long-term funding requirements. Ability to develop, prepare, coordinate, staff, and implement supply management policies, procedures, programs and directives. Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
