Duties

Help

Under the direction of the Marketing Director; responsible for assisting in developing and executing marketing and advertising strategies; designs artwork and professional publications and in compliance with Air Force and local policy. Coordinates printing and distribution of final materials. Designs and develops multimedia materials promoting Force Support programs and activities. Makes use of a variety of artistic techniques and other materials to design artwork for a variety of media. Prepares illustrations for posters, booklets, fliers, newsletters, website and brochures promoting Force Support programs and activities. Primary person for printing and outsourcing prints. Assist in proofing and correcting all advertising and publicity materials, as needed, before wide dissemination. Maintains working knowledge of Force Support activities and target audiences. Designs artwork to appeal to specific target audiences. Maintains current information about activities - hours of operation, fees and charges, specials, and other related information. Assist in collecting data and details for campaigns. Coordinates, tracks, processes, and executes project designs for various marketing requests, work orders and other promotional materials in a timely manner. Provides media support of Force Support activities/functions, both photography and videography at events. Documents events, award ceremonies, and other visual aids. Reviews media proofs and selects media printed and distribution. Assist with adding information to squadron website and office workflow of campaigns. Assist with the organization and implementation of marketing campaigns and special events. Extreme attention to detail while being efficient and effective in roles and responsibilities. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, managers and other personnel required. Extremely high level of attention to detail. Must be comfortable with public speaking to include presentations to small and large groups and senior leadership. Will maintain all printer equipment, inks, paper, etc. Responsible to learn how FSS and Marketing within FSS operates and understand the impact their position has on multiple businesses on base. Utilize AI technologies and services with proper approval processes. Crosstrain where possible and other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Marketing experience, a degree in some creative arts or a combination of both. Must provide portfolio upon request. Thorough knowledge of computer programs used for desktop publishing such as Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and other Microsoft Office programs including MS Office programs. Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal forms is required. Photography and video experience is desirable. Occasional flex schedule for events. Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Condition(s) of Employment:
Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level/NACI) is required. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license. This is a Test Designated Position. The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a preemployment and random drug testing.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
