Duties

Help

Assists in the efficient and effective operation of a diverse comprehensive Outdoor Recreation program including but not limited to community based recreational programs, Family Campground. swimming pools, recreational vehicle storage lots. equipment rental and loan programs. garden plots. community wide events, to include flea markets. outdoor festivals. Assists with facility and property asset management and maintenance, to include assigned Point of Sales (POS) systems. Assists in the promotion and execution of outdoor recreation programs, maintaining outdoor recreation facilities and various recreation areas within established Air Force, Major Command and base policies and objectives. Responsible for on-Appropriated Fund and Appropriated Fund purchasing cards and related duties to support the needs of the Outdoor Recreation program. Assists the director in coordinating and developing details of recurring activities. special events and joint community events in order to maximize resources and participation. Provides oversight of the Outdoor Recreation facilities and associated programs which include Family Campground, swimming pools. equipment rental and retail sales operation.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Progressively responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained in an operations, administrative or managerial position, which included responsibility for various phases of operations such as staff or volunteer management, and facility/equipment. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
