Duties

Help
  • Conduct, perform, or manage research and engineering, acquisition, integrated logistics materiel readiness management, advanced development/maintenance support functions for all assigned aviation/missile weapons systems/subsystems and equipment.
  • Execute assigned missions in support of serviced population having centralized management responsibility for specific weapon systems or items.
  • Manage Department of the Army (DA) test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) acquisition, logistics, and support and support Army and DOD readiness through depot maintenance.
  • Provides direction and guidance over a group of Industrial Property Management Specialist, under the Aviation Center Logistics Command (ACLC), Material Management Division, Property Management Branch.
  • Serves as the Property Administrator for the Aircraft Maintenance Contract.
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides guidance necessary to assure the efficient and expeditious accomplishment of administering the property control system on a $2 billion dollar, Cost-Reimbursement, multiple incentive aircraft maintenance contract.
  • Reviews accomplishments of the organization for technical adequacy, progress, consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, directions, etc. Identifies problems, develops solutions, and implements changes.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison relative to assigned area with higher authority, customers, and Command staff and operating elements.
  • Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
  • Responsible for understanding and actively supporting the Command's Affirmative Action/EEO Program.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Foundational certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain both Property Administrator (PA) and Plant Clearance Officer (PLCO) appointments/certification within 2 years of entrance on duty.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Leading a team performing logistics management duties related to aviation and/or missile weapon system programs; 2) Providing aircraft maintenance and repair support; 3) Managing aircraft parts and property; and 4) Reviewing contract documentation for accuracy and timelines.

  • U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command utilizes Supervisory Cash Differential as a tool to incentivize and compensate supervisors based on organizational level and scope, difficulty, and value of the position. Once all eligibility requirements and conditions are met, the incumbent of this position may receive a Supervisory Cash Differential NTE 10% of the employee's basic pay (basic pay defined as pay without the locality rate) IAW the organization's Business Rules. The Differential is paid on a pay period basis with a specified not to exceed date of one year or less, is reviewed every year, and may be terminated or reduced as dictated by fiscal limitations or changes in assignment or scope of work.
  • Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
