Duties

Help
  • Advises Task Force leadership on the recruitment and training of Data Science Team personnel and application of data science expertise.
  • Leads studies and manages projects across multiple research and analysis domains including Natural Language Processing, graph, and anomaly detection, operational performance, programmatic optimization, talent management, and related fields.
  • Integrates scientific and technological efforts with and in support of other Task Force 40-25, 1st Special Forces Command, and USASOC elements.
  • Supervises other Data Science Team personnel; is prepared to act as Data Science Team Director in the Director’s absence.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and education requirements described below. Basic Requirements: A. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED, or you may not be eligible for referring to the hiring manager.

OR


Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

Specialized experience:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes modernizing research and analytics in machine learning, and the application thereof. Machine learning spans multiple fields to include computer vision, graph and anomaly detection, operational performance, programmatic optimization, talent management, and related fields.

Education
