Duties

Help

Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

As a Web Content Analyst, you will:

  • Perform research on different options for improving the design and organization of the content on the website.
  • Perform production responsibilities including proofreading, editing and quality control, formatting, and disseminating OIA finished intelligence products.
  • Perform troubleshooting and evaluation of product templates and identify and recommend to the visual analysts' modifications to existing templates or the development of new templates.
  • Maintain detailed metrics on OIA finished intelligence production and product posting efficiencies for reporting purposes

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A two-year trial period may be required.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
  • Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.

  • If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes AT LEAST THREE of the following:
- Experience formatting and preparing products, reports, or documents for internal and external dissemination to customers and other audiences in a timely manner; OR
- Managing all content of an organizations online presence by reviewing and editing site design, layout, and the display of content and addressing any issues; OR
- Analyzing and recommending options for organizing or modifying a website and optimizing display and accessibility, and identifying significant trends and problem areas and reporting them to manager; OR
- Ensuring production services are closely coordinated with all relevant stakeholders, are consistent with program operations and procedures, and are directed to provide maximum support to enhance the organizations mission.





Specialized experience for the GS-09: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes AT LEAST THREE of the following:
- Experience working with authors and managers to format and prepare products, reports, or documents for internal and external dissemination to customers and other audiences in a timely manner; OR
- Maintaining an organizations online presence by reviewing and editing site design, layout, and the display of content and addressing any issues; OR
- Recommending options for organizing or modifying a website and improving the design and organization of web content to meet mission objectives; OR
- Ensuring production services are closely coordinated with all relevant stakeholders, are consistent with program operations and procedures, and are directed to provide maximum support to enhance the organizations mission; OR
- Maintaining detailed metrics on production efficiencies for reporting purposes.

OR

You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, if related; OR
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR
You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be combined with experience.





Specialized experience for the GS-07: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes BOTH of the following:
- Experience working with authors and managers to format and prepare products, reports, or documents for internal and external dissemination to customers and other audiences in a timely manner; AND
- Maintaining an organizations online presence by reviewing and editing site design, layout, and the display of content and addressing any issues;

OR

You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: One full year of graduate level education in a related field; or Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelors degree that is demonstrated through: class standing (upper 1/3 of class) OR grade point average (3.0/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major) OR Election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society.

OR

You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent.



The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education

The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
