Duties

Help
  • Serve as the Social Media Specialist for Crane Army Ammunition Activity’s S1 Human Resource Office responsible for the development of digital media and social media plans/campaigns supporting the Activity's Strategic recruitment goals.
  • Develop strategies to increase online presence and improve customer engagement.
  • Develop multimedia campaign materials (e.g., printed articles, brochures, videos, Web-based content) to provide information to target populations.
  • Conduct required coordination and obtain clearances as required for release of information.
  • Create content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media.
  • Promote products, services and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organization’s brand and social media strategy. Keeps track of data and analyzing the performance of social media campaigns.
  • Provide technical assistance to senior leadership on digital communication platforms, channels, and sites. Supports the planning development and use of social media tools.
  • Provide direct support to Lead Recruitment specialist.
  • Coordinate with the Business Development Program Specialist and Public Affairs Officer, maintains/updates current recruitment social media engagement and marketing plan.

  • This position is designated as moderate risk involving Public Trust. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Creating content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media; and
2) Improving Online presence to increase social media engagement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04).

Education
