Serves as Executive Assistant to the Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC) General Manager (GM) and his senior leadership group providing advice and assistance on all matters that are relative to the coordination, integration, and synchronization of various staff actions, events, and activities that affect the hotel and involve the GM. As the Executive Assistant, functions as the subject matter expert in the preparation, coordination, and follow-through of executive level actions and correspondence management for the hotel ensuring compliance with the Army's regulatory procedures in that specialized area. Assists the GM with visits by general officers and dignitaries exercising proper protocol and coordination of actions with their respective staff. Provides assistance to the GM and his senior leadership staff in resolving problems and improving the efficiency of operations for the hotel.
Performs a wide variety of sensitive, complicated and routine tasks by applying a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the hotel's operations and support functions. Works closely with key officials within the AFRC to accomplish tasks and requirements. Develops comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions, and activities. Analyzes and evaluates issues that are diverse in nature and which require input from other internal and external staff elements. Extrapolates existing methods and procedures to future requirements. Develops executable plans of action for the review and approval of the GM. Performs the administrative requirements of the office of the GM. Applies knowledge of the organization, its functions and regulations to carry-out a wide variety of administrative requirements related to the preparation of correspondence, suspense and the tracking of suspense items and tasks. Assists in the development of procedures and sets internal priorities for the purpose of generating improvements in administrative services. Assists and provides oversight and guidance to other administrative hotel personnel.
1. Must have executive level office management work experience.
2. Must be able to operate office automation equipment and be a qualified typist.
3. Must be able to work independently, possess good judgment, tact and diplomacy, and interact well with people using excellent customer service skills and communication.
