Duties

Help
  • Provides office and management support that include disseminating office mail, coordinated ordering of supplies, responsible for time and attendance reports, answers telephone calls and greet visitors.
  • Creates copies, edits, calculates, revises, retrieves, stores and prints a wide range of documents in final form from handwritten drafts in compliance with administrative/management guidelines and federal program requirements.
  • Types memorandums, letters, and other correspondence relating to labor/ management relations (e.g., grievance responses, bargaining proposals) that are confidential and safeguard materials.
  • Obtains advance information of management's position regarding the disposition of grievances and other labor relations matters.
  • Attends meeting and take notes where labor-management matters are discussed.

Qualifications

For the GS 7: You must possess at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level or payband in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing all of the following:

1) Organizing and presenting information using a variety of techniques to gather and compile information; AND
2) Providing assistance to senior level management and other personnel; AND
3) Using advanced level office automation software skills to accomplish work (for example, using Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create advanced reports, presentations, and spreadsheets);AND
4) Preparing and reviewing reports, documents and correspondence of a confidential and non-confidential nature for the purpose of documenting activities.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Note: A full year of experience is considered to be 40 hours of work per week.
