Duties

Help
  • Provides a wide range of Human Intelligence (HUMINT) collection management guidance for collection planning to support Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIR) of Army warfighters, DoD needs and tasks, and select Army Executive Agency organizations.
  • Oversees overt HUMINT project assessments and capability reviews based on Army Reserve Operational Group (AROG) reporting.
  • Develops collection strategies for AROG headquarters and overt source operations teams throughout the continental United States (CONUS).
  • Prepares monthly reports on AROG collection activities and reporting.
  • Prioritizes HUMINT collection requirements to identify and task AROG full-spectrum HUMINT assets to fulfill Army and Intelligence Community (IC) collection requirements.
  • Participates in the preparation, final production, and dissemination of AROG intelligence information reports.
  • Maintains the integrity of processes, procedures, and data for the supporting automated collection management and dissemination systems.
  • Disseminates AROG reporting to consumer base as required.
  • Provides reporting guidelines, collection requirements training, and coordinates with the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Collection Manager and Division Chiefs and AROG with targeting.
  • Assists in the development of various HUMINT reporting and planning documents.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must execute a classified information Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  • TDY may constitute up to 40% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS)/sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security clearance based on a Single-scope background investigation (SSBI).

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which is defined as experience with Intelligence operations in areas of capability development and analysis that are specific to the Human Intelligence (HUMINT) operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
