Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of duties requiring knowledge and skill in applying logistics management principles, methods and techniques to meet logistics requirements.
  • Total logistics program includes evaluating unique research equipment specifications and requirements, then recommending/approving calibration and maintenance periods.
  • Also includes working with the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) to research, evaluate, and advise any Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment functions that are performed as mandated.
  • Maintains oversight and management of the Foreign Object Damage and Stock Management Programs.
  • Serves as an equipment sub-custodian by conducting a hands-on annual inventory across 6 equipment accounts.
  • Prepares and forwards the Inventory Equipment Listing to management to incorporate findings into corrective action plans.
  • Advises Scientists and Engineers on various potentially conflicting requirements levied on the unique support equipment housed in RX.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks), or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09, or equivalent grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes performing integrated logistics support, equipment accountability support and/or evaluating Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory specifications and requirements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
