About the Position: This is a Voucher Examiner position with USACE Little Rock District, Real Estate Division. This position is located in Little Rock, AR. This position may be filled at the GS-05, with promotion potential to the GS-06 or filled at the full performance GS-06 grade level. Duties

Help
  • You will process a wide variety of commercial vouchers such as those for purchase or sale of residential property, utilities, contracts and other non-standard vouchers for payment.
  • You will check voucher for completeness, correctness, signature and assembles the documents, rejecting incomplete or incorrect voucher.
  • You will perform voucher examining duties for payment of contractual services
  • You will ensure clerical correctness of invoices and supporting papers
  • You will correct or otherwise modify contents and disposition of vouchers and documents as necessary
  • You will maintain comprehensive records for transactions.
  • You will update records and information for various reports.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. FOR THE GS-05:
Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience is defined as performing 1 of 3 the following duties: 1) Gathering data for payments or vouchers OR 2) Inputting data into a computer-based program OR 3) Maintaining records of accounts receivable.
OR
Education: Completed four years of education leading to a Bachelor's Degree obtained in an college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.

FOR THE GS-06:
Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience is defined as performing 2 of the 3 following duties: 1) Ensures payments are processed accurately OR 2) Processes payments or vouchers in accordance with regulations
OR 3) Preparing financial reports for review.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.   • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
