Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an Integrated Logistics Support Manager within the Product Support Division (S40) at the NAVSURFWARCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION.
  • You will be a principle member of the ILS Management Team that provides guidance, direction, schedules, plans, budget input, and task identification.
  • You will organize and chair Integrated Product Team meetings for the program or project in support of accomplishing assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • You will prepare, formulate, and maintain ILS-related planning documents in support of the lifecycle phases of weapon systems or equipment in accordance with current NSWC PCD, DoN, and DoD policy and guidance documentation.
  • You will identify ILS related planning and execution deficiencies and implement resolutions to ensure adequate support.
  • You will create statements of work for contracts, evaluate proposals submitted by competing contractors, evaluate contractor work performance and quality of deliverables, and provide detailed recommendations to the cognizant contracting lead.
  • You will participate as the Logistics Subject Matter Expert on source selection committees.
  • You will establish ILS policies, procedures and priorities to support the goals and objectives for assigned systems and equipment.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 or (GS-09/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing logistics management operations that involve planning, analysis, or evaluating the logistical acquisitions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.

NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 or (GS-05/08 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in logistics management operations that involve planning, analysis, or evaluating the logistical acquisitions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.

NT-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of progressively responsible general experience that includes one year of which was equivalent to the NT-01 (GS-04 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrates the following: the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Education

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION FOR THE NT-04:
Successful completion of 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education
OR
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M. degree in a field directly related to the position being filled ORA combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION FOR THE NT-03:
Successful completion of 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education
OR
Successful completion of a masters or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. degree directly related to the position being filled
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION FOR THE NT-02:
Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
