Major Duties of the Position:

Conducting labor economic analysis to inform Air Force and Space Force personnel policy; maintaining a record or research consistent with academic rank; teaching undergraduate courses consistent with area of academic expertise; advising and mentoring cadets; serving on departmental and Academy committees.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be assessed based on education, quality of scholarship, relevance of education and experience to labor economic analysis and human resource management, service to applicants' discipline and institution, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Applicants should submit the following items: curriculum vitae, a written research sample, statement of research and teaching interests, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Applicants should additionally provide the names and contact information for three professional references. A Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, Business, or related field, or letter of completion by the start date and U.S. citizenship is required. Essential qualities expected of every faculty member include the personal attributes of integrity, industry, cooperation, initiative, and breadth of intellectual interests.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated experience in causal analysis, program evaluation, labor economic theory, mechanism design, and other techniques pertinent to personnel policy analysis.

EDUCATION:

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a transcript to be considered OFFICIAL, it should be printed on university letterhead and the registrar's official seal/signature must appear on the transcript. Your transcripts must also reflect the degree awarded/conferred date. Transcripts labeled UNOFFICIAL will not be accepted.

FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements. However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e. AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S. Standard of Education Conversion.
